Vintage Design
A TeVe lounge chair, designed by the Swedish architect Alf Svensson in 1953 for the manufacturer Ljungs Industrier (Dux). Crafted from solid beech with brass details and featuring original textile upholstery in a soft shade of green. This unusually low and wide chair was developed for easy mobility within the home, initially intended for the new innovation of television. It was crucial to have comfortable yet compact chairs that could easily be placed in front of the TV. When creating the TeVe chair, Svensson drew inspiration from American design, notably the LCW by Charles & Ray Eames.
