Vintage Design
Knud Friis (1926-2010) and Elmar Moltke Nielsen (1924-1997) were two Danish Architects who founded their practice in 1954 called Friis & Moltke. In the 1960s, they introduced Danes to their mild version of Brutalism, which often featured huge, robust building structures tucked into the landscape, raw concrete walls and visible technical installations.
This set of 4 bentwood chairs designed for Getama in the 70s are handmade with iron straps visible at the back.
