1960s Gump’s, San Francisco Fine Chinese Porcelain Rose Canton Floral Gilt Umbrella Stand

I’m very pleased to offer for sale this gorgeous fine Chinese porcelain Rose Canton 18″ umbrella stand with the following fine features:

– Hand-made in China circa 1960s
– Main color is rose with a myriad of other colors, including gold, pink, maroon, purple, yellow, green and white
– Hand-painted in rich overglaze enamels with some texture (relief)
– Two panels depict traditional courtyard scenes, traditionally dressed Chinese men and women in a garden pavilion setting
– Two panels depicting floral scenes with exotic birds are between the figural panels
– The borders are a repeating pattern of pink and green foliage
– Prominent parcel gilt trim
– Measures 18.5″ tall x 8″ wide
– Weighs approximately 7 pounds 10 ounces
– Traditionally used for umbrellas and walking sticks, but used more contemporarily as a tall floor vase
– In outstanding condition, with no significant or noteworthy imperfections
– Maker’s mark on bottom, along with a sticker that reads: “Gump’s By Mail” referring to Gump’s of San Francisco, a luxury American home furnishings and home décor retailer founded in 1861
