Designed in 1951 by Italian architect and furniture maker Marco Zanuso, these iconic chairs are a symbol of stylish, material and technological innovation. They won a gold medal at the Milan Triennale in the year of their debut.

The Lady chairs have a slim metal base that contrasts with the soft upholstered parts. They are made up of different pieces with different densities of foam rubber, which was a revolutionary construction method for the time. The seats have been completely reupholstered in a high-quality white fabric, which perfectly complements the elegant and modern design. This Tripolina armchair is produced by Dino Gavina in 1950, it is a supporting structure in chromed steel and support canvas in suede. The designer is anonymous but as Gavina himself writes in the of the object “four crossed sticks, an animal skin to sit or to govern, the first object in the hut, this elementary chair is an absolute structure that history cannot modify but only repropose in its original simplicity ” making it belong to the archetype of chair. Built and re-proposed over the years by anonymous masters who, linked to daily patience, and a dexterity learned on the piece in the artisan workshops over years of work and centuries of small improvements, deliver a piece of ancient modernity into the skilled hands of Gavina. Our tripolina is in a good state of conservation but there are small spots and signs of aging as shown in the photographs. Lovely vintage high back winged leather Falcon chair designed by Sigurd Resell. In good vintage condition. There is some age-related wear, as expected but nothing significant. The leather is in good condition with no rips or tears but it is a little worn on one arm which are faint possible cat scratches and the canvas has a very small fray and a mark. Price is reflective of these small cosmetic issues. The base has a few scuffs, again, commensurate with its age. A TeVe lounge chair, designed by the Swedish architect Alf Svensson in 1953 for the manufacturer Ljungs Industrier (Dux). Crafted from solid beech with brass details and featuring original textile upholstery in a soft shade of green. This unusually low and wide chair was developed for easy mobility within the home, initially intended for the new innovation of television. It was crucial to have comfortable yet compact chairs that could easily be placed in front of the TV. When creating the TeVe chair, Svensson drew inspiration from American design, notably the LCW by Charles & Ray Eames.
