The black lacquered panels are incised with vibrant color pigments depicting a courtyard with figures engaged in leisurely activities. Colorful greens and blues decorate the screen. The coromandel is supported by square legs ending with patinated brass clad feet. The opposite side features a stark landscape with bamboo and rock. This vintage 6′ four panel round screen is beautifully lacquered and It features Royal families in a courtyard scene made of hand carved Mother-of-Pearl. The black background is hand-painted with gold landscape designs, and finished in a rich black crackled lacquer.

This charming set of four 19th Century French Cartouches is oil paint on linen and is backed and framed with a velvet border. We used the panels as individual decorative wall hangings, and also combined as a separation screen.
