Vintage mid 20th century wood side table and magazine rack with brass Boulle inlay on top. Dark wood with soft sheen, well constructed, no markings. Missing one brass screw on bottom side, does not affect sturdiness.

– Hand-made in China circa 1960s
– Main color is rose with a myriad of other colors, including gold, pink, maroon, purple, yellow, green and white
– Hand-painted in rich overglaze enamels with some texture (relief)
– Two panels depict traditional courtyard scenes, traditionally dressed Chinese men and women in a garden pavilion setting
– Two panels depicting floral scenes with exotic birds are between the figural panels
– The borders are a repeating pattern of pink and green foliage
– Prominent parcel gilt trim

Ghau is a small prayer box worn as pendant by Buddhists as portable shrines which can be pray by prayer during their travel. This Ghau prayer box (travel Buddha shrine) made from Tibetan silver with a Turquoise Buddha inside all wrapped in a hand embroidered quilted textile brocade.. All hand made and hand carved. It was used as traveling shrine and carried on one’s person traveling away from home to protect him.

Antique gilt-bronze letter box with malachite stone inlay. Decorated with a fine applied rope design and retaining the original letter organization insert. Solid bronze with substantial weight, and beautifully made.

This is a beautiful chest that can be used to hold necklaces as shown or for any other treasure you decide to hide or display. It is very detailed and quite unique. Of course it can be used for many other things other than jewelry. It is 10″ wide, 6.5″ high and the top lid is 9.5″ top x 3/4″. The circle opening is 6.5″ wide and 4″ deep. It is very heavy and has quite unique and unusual markings in beautiful gold and chocolate brown hues and such different indented markings that resemble raised cut pieces of some kind of copper or brass or metal material. I’m unsure of what the composite wood-like material is, but it is remarkable, like one of a kind special professional piece. I have enjoyed it for over 50 years, and it has been sitting in the same place since I moved for 25 years.

Antique English umbrella or stick stand in the form of an oak barrel with wide flared brass rim, brass banding with oval handles. Lovely patina. Some dents and dings to the brass.
