Vintage Maud Frizon Paris leather belt with mini metal tassels in alternating shades of bronze and silver. Made in Italy. Maud Frizon is a Parisian fashion designer who was originally known for designing women’s shoes. In the 1960s, she was a model for several Haute Couture Houses including Nina Ricci, Jean Patou, and André Courrèges. Since models had to provide their own shoes in those days, to wear on the runway, she decided to create her own and opened her first boutique in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district of Paris in the late 1960’s. Maud Frizon, some would say, was the Manolo Blahnik of her time and used only the finest materials for her designs. This vintage belt is such a great example of her unique talent to mix unique materials!
