Italian Vegetable Asparagus Serving Dish With Egg Holder Trompe l’Oeil Style

A vintage Italian white ceramic serving dish with a hand decorated green asparagus design, Trompe l’Oeil style, circa late-20th century, Bassano, Italy. This oval serving piece has two bunches of asparagus, one bunch tied off with orange string and a touch of purple on their tips indicating freshness. Piece also has a place for eggs (2, one on each side.) Hand decorated colors on a white ceramic ground include green, touches of purple, and orange. Makers’ marks on underside as shown in last images. A beautiful piece for a table setting, indoors or out. Dimensions: 8″ Depth x 11.63″ Width.
